Greg Smith visited Beecroft Primary school on Wednesday November 2 to present a NSW Government grant of $2500 to students of class 1W for their eco efforts.

The School has established a number of gardens, for which the students have been responsible. The grant is funded by the NSW Government as part of the Eco Schools program.

Greg met school staff and inspected the gardens before presenting the students with a certificate for their efforts. The students were eager to show off their hard work and were able to tell Greg the names of every plant in the garden.

"I congratulate the students and staff for their efforts on this project. It's great to see the students take a hands-on approach to learning about the environment and it's clear that they are very enthusiastic about it."
