Greg Smith presents Queen's Scout Award Print E-mail

On Wednesday November 9, Greg Smith visited the scout hall in West Pennant Hills to present the Queen's Scout Award to Bronte Wilson.

Bronte has been involved with the Scout movement for many years and is a student at Cheltenham Girls High School.

The award is more than 100 years old and was established by King Edward VII in 1909, when it was known as the King's Scout Award.

To qualify, a Venturer Scout must also have achieved the Venturing Skills Award and complete the requirements in the areas of leadership development, community involvement, outdoor activities, and personal growth.

"I am delighted to be able to present Bronte with this award and I congratulate her on her fine achievement. The Scout movement is a great community organisation and I encourage young people to get involved." Greg said.
