In October 2011 Greg Smith invited students from the Epping electorate who received the NSW State Representative Certificate to his Epping office to present them with their awards. This event was featured in the October newsletter.

Following this event Greg Smith wrote to all the schools in his electorate requesting that they encourage students who have represented NSW to apply for a certificate. There were so many responses to that request that Mr Smith decided to host a second awards presentation on Tuesday November 29 for students and their parents.
