The Labor Government needs to explain why 29 juvenile justice employees caught viewing and sharing pornography weren’t sacked, Shadow Minister for Juvenile Justice Greg Smith SC said today.
Shadow Minister for Justice Greg Smith SC today called on the Iemma Labor Government to beef up searches by security officers on prison visitors to deter them from attempting to supply their prisoner friends and relatives with weapons, mobile phones and SIM cards.

The Iemma Government’s pinchpenny attitude towards Juvenile Justice is the cause of revolts at the Cobham Juvenile Detention Centre, Shadow Minister for Juvenile Justice Greg Smith SC said today.
Shadow Minister for Justice Greg Smith SC today called for an urgent review of home detention following revelations that cost cutting and Union work bans had left up to 200 criminals under house arrest largely unsupervised.
